TEAM DE GROOTE: Creating Winning Game Plans

Our amazing life experiences have given us an appreciation of the complexities of life from many vantage points. We have "real life" experiences that include owning and operating several retail businesses, owning and operating a very large child care center, and farming a producing Valencia Orange Ranch. We have operated a horse boarding facility on our ranch site and have been involved in our daughter's horse showing career that took us all over the country. In addition to our business experiences, we both taught and coached at the high school level. My (Gwen's) real estate career began in the early 80's, with Don joining me in 2001. Don and I have enjoyed a variety of adventures throughout our lives-we have owned several businesses, taught in the public school system (Don coached Varsity football-both sons played for Oregon teams-Tim, with the U of O Ducks 95 and Doug, with Southern Oregon 93). We love football and are still season ticket holders! Daughter Amy and her husband Chase are graduates of Oregon State. Our family is growing and now Tim has three great sons-future Oregon Ducks-and Doug is the proud father of Michelle and Maggie they are expecting a new baby this winter. Amy and Chase are the proud parents of two year old Luke and his baby brother, Jack . Grandchildren are the BEST! We love our family and enjoy those wonderful shared moments. Don's superb negotiating skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of the industry and my creative side, love of people and helping each new client reach his/her real estate goals, and determination to create a great experience for our clients, put the T-E-A-M in Team De Groote!

    Don and I are privileged to work in an environment that provides opportunity to serve people, develop life long relationships, and contribute to the well being of our community. Our success is directly related to our efforts.  We all enjoy football season and rarely miss a game at Autzen! After coaching for 30 years, Don feels right at home and lives and relives every play, knows all about each player, and enjoys being a great Duck fan. We love living in the Eugene area and being able to enjoy all that this vibrant university town has to offer.

     
    Don and I have three wonderful children. Doug, a graduate of Southern Oregon, is married to Samantha and they have the three of the most wonderful, brilliant, talented, children. Tim, a graduate of U of O-member of the 1995 Rose Bowl team, father to  the 3 most delightful, brilliant, talented, athletic, boys. Daughter Amy (a licensed broker and  member of our team), is married to Chase, both are graduates of Oregon State . They are proud parents to 2 sweet, brilliant, talented boys and best of all they live here in Eugene.  We love being able to spend time with our family.
